A coffee with authentic local vibes like being in a living room. Good coffee, best chai latte ever (according to my partner) and a selection of teas. They support local artists, so you will find things for sale like self published books, pottery and post cards. A hidden gem in the Weehawken / West New York area.

We stumbled upon this place by chance early in the morning during our visit to New Jersey while looking for a spot to grab a coffee. It had a warm, friendly, and peaceful atmosphere. The owner of the cafe was very welcoming and, on top of that, makes excellent coffee. Definitely worth a detour!

This is a favorite spot for the residents, and tourists of Weehawken. The quaint, and home-like interior is reminiscent of what can be found in cool places such as Brooklyn, or a European cafe. The menu is ideal for such a place for small family gatherings, friends to read, or use the computers, and dare I say, to play chess? The outside is not as inviting as it resembles a warehouse, but the interior, the decor is like visiting someone's home who serves a mean latte, and delicious sandwiches. This is my favorite spot when I visit. I can't wait to return.

Best coffee in town!!! Owners are the best! Coffee is always consistent which is 10/10 since most coffee shops lack consistency. My go to are the iced earl grey latte or the iced dirty chai w/oatmilk 3

Everything I’ve had here is great. Hot chocolate. Turkey sandwich. Latte. The open mic poetry event on Thursdays 6-9pm led by The Poetry Unfold is very special. A sacred communal space for sharing, healing and being inspired. It’s very REAL. The owners of this place are super cool too. They clearly love what they do and have put a lot of thought into creating this warm and welcoming space for locals and artists.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, APRIL 18, 2024, 5:30PM: I had the pleasure of returning to Ispresso on Wednesday, April 10, for the Book Haven Books Silent Book Club Meetup. The service remains top notch, the coffee super delicious, and those beautiful Aussie Bites. I look forward to returning, as soon as I can. UPDATE: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2023, 8:16PM: Ispresso remains a very comfy cafe with a great home-y vibe, with lots of seating, delicious coffees, teas, pastries and foods. Not to mention amazing stuff, one of the cleanest bathrooms in Union City, and a massive commitment to community involvement. I look forward to attending one of their open mike poetry nights, which are on Thursday nights, 7-9PM. I had this cafe on my Google Maps "Want to Go" list for a long time. My life partner and I went to the Spring Market, featuring Book Haven Books. The first thing my life partner ordered was a honey ginger tea with a shot of Lavender syrup, and I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte and a small bite of something made with oats and apricot, and a slice of a quick bread. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Both my life partner and I were impressed with the variety of merchandise, from food items to art, as well as the eclectic decor. I found it very home-y. I also loved seeing a lot of people who already knew each other, from the neighborhood. Andrew took outstanding care of us and we felt very comfortable in this cafe. The bathroom was very clean and well-stocked, and large enough for comfortable usage. Both my life partner and I look forward to returning again, as soon as we can.
